Manuel Salcedo has dedicated his life to living in the countryside of the Sierra de Jalisco. He experiences and lives the traditions of this beautiful region every day, the same place where the Maximilian agave grows. His relationship with this plant and its ecosystem has been deep in many ways, especially in the symbiosis that occurs through its conservation in exchange for the production of mezcal wine or raicilla; a passion that for more than 20 years has satisfied one of the most fundamental local traditions and for which he is recognized as the Master Raicillero of his town.
